My name is Ben. My interest in music began the summer before I started 4th grade while, at a friend's house I was turned on by recordings of trumpet player Herb Alpert. I began drum lessons the following summer. Later on I became interested in music theory, and earned a college degree in music, also leaning piano. One of my major interests is songwrting, having had a song copyrighted in March of 2014. I would like to teach on a keyboard, the elements of music such as chord composition, structures and progressions, while playing recordings of songs demonstrating how these elements make up a song. A student will be able to improvise on a keyboard, and have the tools for song composition.
