I am a violist, violinist, cellist, and pianist who loves sharing the joy of music through teaching. I believe that each student is unique; therefore, my teaching strategies vary based on the student's needs. I am comfortable teaching viola and violin to beginning through advanced players. I can also teach cello to beginning to intermediate students. My musical influences range from my own teachers to classical composers to modern singer songwriters.

What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
A patient teacher. Expect to do warm ups, études, and to be working on a piece.
Formal Education:
My formal education took place at Indiana State University where I studied music, French, and English. I have a Masters in Secondary Education.
Private Education:
My private education in viola and violin began when I was 13 with Jill Brewer. Later, I continued with Sharilyn Spicknall and finished with William Davis. I studied cello with Robert Montgomery.
Performing Experience:
I have played in both professional orchestras and in volunteer orchestras, including: The Terre Haute Symphony, The Terre Haute Sinfonietta, The Indianapolis Philharmonic, The Greenfield Community Orchestra, and The Suncoast Symphony. I also play as a solo, freelance artist at weddings, dinners, and various other events.
Experience Teaching:
I have taught string instruments privately for 20 years. I was also a public school teacher for 16 years, teaching French, English, and Special Education.
