My name is Zach. I started playing guitar when I was 6 years old. Started playing snare drum and drumset at age 8. Also took piano, trumpet, and sax lessons. I can play them but not enough to teach them. Started playing in middle school band in 6th grade on percussion. By 7th grade I was first chair. Moving on to high school, I marched snare all 4 years in marching band and was section leader of the drumline all 4 years. In concert band I played mostly timpani but occasionly snare, concert bass, and whatever else needed to be covered. I also played guitar in jazz band all 4 years as well. I started playing in bars when I was 15 years old playing guitar and bass and still do. The bands I have played in have opened for Blackberry Smoke, Moon Taxi and we even were a supporting act for Lucinda Williams. Needles to say I have been playing my whole life. I started teaching at the local music store Emiron Music when i was 17 and taught drums, bass, and guitar.
