Music theory, aural skills, and music history courses in college. 

12 years of private piano lessons. 5 years of private lessons from a teacher who had an emphasis in writing music and jazz. the other 7 years i received classical piano training. 10 years of private flute lessons. Classic training.

Piano - I was a professional musician who was hired for a variety of special events. I participated in several sonata festivals through the Northwest Suburban Music Teachers Associate where i received gold for all my performances. I was also asked to play a piano solo for the Arlington Heights Community Concert Band.  Flute - I was first chair in my community band, first chair first flute in the Schaumburg Youth Symphony. I perfomed many solo performances within those two organizations. I have also been hired as a professional musician for various special events. 

I have experience teaching a wide range of students. The ages my students have ranged from is 6 to 50. I tailor the type of music education to each student. I believe the best results from from students who recieve an individualized approach to learning and loving their instruments.
