I am an experienced and degreed singer and actor whose singing and onstage experiences have covered almost every continent and several foreign and American theatrical and operatic venues. I have a teaching style that has been met with success on every learning level and consider sound technique as my main focus.
Mark H. has over 20+ years of music experience in the San Antonio area.
Mark H. is proficient in and teaches Vocal Lessons .Formal Education:
Graduate of Howard University in Washington, DC with a Bachelor of Music Degree and Masters Degree in same, in progress at Manhattan School of Music.
Private Education:
Private voice instruction from Mattiwilda Dobbs, William Ray, Theodor Uppman, Sylvia Olden-Lee and William Warfield.
Performing Experience:
Houston Grand Opera, Los Angeles Opera Center, Austin Lyric Opera, San Pedro Playhouse, National and International Broadway and Operatic credits.
Experience Teaching:
I started teaching privately in Washington, DC and I was able to teach the voice classes for non-music majors at Howard University as a part of a graduate fellowship. I have been teaching in San Antonio since 2012.
