About Me

I have been playing guitar on and off for approximately 35 years. I have played in a variety of groups over the years in the vein of rock, jazz, blues and progressive. I have released a music CD which is available for sale on the internet. I have a good working knowledge of guitar basics, structure, rudimentary exercises and conceptual paths to music expression on the six string instrument. I can intelligently teach beginner through intermediate and even some advanced guitar techniques. I have also studied luthier work and the mechanics of guitar building and am working toward building my own line of electric guitars.

Associates degree in mechanical engineering.

Performing Experience:

I have played in half dozen bands over the years; blues, rock, jazz fusion and progressive. I have probably 5-7 years of stage expierence, and I have released a music CD by the stage name "Peter Tripp". I am currently playing guitar, bass guitar and guitar synth in 2 Los Angeles based bands---"Tone Gypsies",...and "Seventh Freedom".
