My career as a musician started the day the Beatles played on the Ed Sullivan show. I have never been formally trained. That option was not available in my small Upper Peninsula Michigan town. Most of my musical knowledge comes from hearing and copying. I encourage the use of hearing as well as theory. I love working with children as well as adults. My present job with Cornerstone Tutorial consists of 6 high school students, and range from beginner to accomplished. In this class we incorporate bass, acoustic and electric guitar, percussion and vocals. I have the students work on individual assignments as well as group assignments. We have two recitals, Christmas and Easter performances for their peers at Cornerstone. My present band is 4 On the Floor with Overdrive. We are a swing dance band specializing in dance music.
Art L. has over 40 years of music experience in the Sykesville area.

Performing Experience:
I have been performing actively for 6 years with the 4 on the floor with overdrive band. I also have been performing in varoius praise and worship bands since 2003. Proir to that, I was a stay at home parent with children and a commercial artist.
