About Me

I am a Baltimore-based feelance professional musician, private music instructor, and guitarist for the indie rock band Sunbathers.  Also play in an acoustic jazz duo for weddings/events/etc, and collaborate in a number of other groups from time to time. I have been teaching private guitar lessons for about 2 years now, and have taught over 500 lessons to nearly 30 different students ranging from age 10 to 65.

Tim B has over 20 years of music experience in the Baltimore area.

Formal Education:

University of Maryland, College Park Robert H. Smith School of Business Class of 2013

Private Education:

I have been taking private guitar and music lessons since the age of 5

Performing Experience:

I have played dozens of shows in multiple states/cities with my indie rock band Sunbathers.  We have played in Baltimore, D.C., Richmond, Philadelphia, NYC and more.  Performed at WTMD First Thursdays concert series in June 2016 to a crowd of approximately 2,000 people. Have played/headlined regional venues including Baltimore Soundstage, Black Cat, Rock & Roll Hotel, The 8x10, Ottobar, and many more.  Also have played live on WMUC and WTMD radio stations. Have experience playing private events and numerous wedding ceremonies/cocktail hours as well.

Experience Teaching:

I have been offering private lessons for about 2 years now, and have now taught over 500 lessons to more than 30 different people.
