Doron has been a guitar and bass player as well as a luthier since 1988 and has been teaching since 1992. He teaches acoustic and electric guitar as well as fretted, fretless and upright double bass, focusing on proper technique and hand positioning, music theory, sight reading, and ear training. As a guitar teacher, he primarily uses the Bredice technique of circular picking, which was developed to maximize a player’s picking speed. As a bass teacher, he teaches, finger style, walking bass, popping and slapping, as well as picking. He also teaches 2-handed tapping. His teaching styles include rock, metal, jazz, blues, funk, swing, bebop, rockabilly, etc.

Doron studied under jazz/fusion guitar teacher, Joe Paulovkin at NMB Sr. High all 4 years, classical guitar maestro Juan Markendahl at University of Miami for a 2 month master class, jazz guitar professor, Vincent Bredice at MDC, author of “Mel Bay’s Complete Guide to Guitar Improvising” (known to those in the musical world as “the guitar bible” lol.) and classical guitar professor, Juan Carlos Vera at MDC.
In August of 1989, Doron performed at the Woodstock 20th Anniversary concert at OceanWalk in Hollywood, Florida, where his Hendrix-tribute power trio, Axis, headlined. He has done countless hours of studio and stage session work, and diverse recording projects, including jingle work for Publix and other companies. He has played, recorded, and toured with numerous South Florida rock bands. His own bands include “Scarlet Letter”, “Zen Dog”, the power trio “Joker's Wild”, South Florida Queen tribute band “Qiller Queen” and currently plays guitar and sings lead for the rock party band “Electric Storm”. He has performed onstage with such names as “JP Soars and the Red Hots”, “Bobby Nathan”, “Iko Iko”, “Kat Riggins Blues Revival”, “Joel DaSilva” and many others. Doron is a musician's musician, with extensive musical knowledge and accomplishments, including classical theory, reading and writing compositions, fluent on guitar, bass, and vocals in a wide range of styles including jazz, blues, rock, fusion, metal and solo acoustic. Doron has also performed in practically every South Florida venue in both a band and a solo capacity, including the Cool Beans Cafe, Borders Books and Music, Warehaus 57, Bamboo Inn, Musician's Exchange, Mister Moe's, the Silver Dollar Lounge, Cagney's House of Rock, Chit Chat’s, O’Malley’s, O’Meara’s, Flossie’s, Petersen’s Harley Davidson, Cheers East and West, and many others.
Taught adult guitar at North Miami Beach Senior High Community School in North Miami Beach, FL from 1995-1997. Taught at the Johnson Street Music School in Hollywood, FL from 1996-1998 Taught at the Serenade Music Academy in North Miami Beach, FL from 2003-2004 Taught at the Anthony Allman School of Music in Hollywood, FL from 2004-2005 Have been teaching privately from 1992 to the present.
