Dan is a cellist currently based in the Denver Metro Area. He is one of the top cellists and a peer mentor in the Denver Young Artists Orchestra, one of the nation’s leading youth symphonies. Dan is a freelancing cellist with several years of performing experience and can often be seen playing at promotions, parties, churches, and other events. Dan is a former member of the 2016 Brevard Concert Orchestra, residing, performing and studying on a considerable merit scholarship at the Brevard Classical Music Festival. He previously studied with Franklin Pond Chamber Music in Atlanta, working with, studying under, and performing alongside members of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Dan has studied cello under several world-class musicians, including the following: Silver Ainomäe (Currently Associate Principal Cellist of the Minnesota Orchestra, previous Principal Cellist of the Colorado Symphony), Jonathan Spitz (New Jersey Symphony Principal Cellist, American Symphony Orchestra Principal Cellist, and Professor at Rutgers University), Gal Faganel (Former Phoenix Symphony acting Principal, Professor at UNC) as well as others. He has received masterclasses from David Coucheron (ASO Concertmaster), Brad Ritchie(ASO Cellist), the Shanghai Quartet, Wendy Rawls(assistant concertmaster of the Greensboro Symphony), as well as others. He is a frequent and past participant in Allstate and Honor Orchestras. Past/current performances and repertoire include: Dvorak Symphony No. 9, Sibelius Symphony No.2, Copland’s Billy the Kid, numerous repertoire of Bach, Schumann Piano Quartet in E-flat Major, Opus 47, #3, Shostakovich String Quartet No. 8, Grieg String Quartet No. 1, Dvorak String Quartet no. 12, Elgar Cello Concerto No 1, Piatti Caprice No. 7, and numerous others. - Denver, CO
