Born, 1955, Wichitaw, Kansas. Grew up in Titusville Florida, Have lived in Kansas City, Missouri since 1978. Married with two children and now have three grandchildren.
Harry P. has over 41 years of music experience in the Kansas City area.
Harry P. is proficient in and teaches Orchestral Lessons .Formal Education:
A.A. degree from Brevard Community College, major in music. Earned a B.A. degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City/ Conservatory of Music, in performance. Major instrument is trombone but also play bass trumpet.
Private Education:
Not much private education, took lessons from a local music store when in high school. Post graduation from the conservatory of music took lessons for a time with the bass trombonist of the Chicago Symphony.
Performing Experience:
Have performed in a variety of venues and genres. Substitute from time to time with the old Kansas City Philharmonic. Played in opera, ballet and musical orchestras. Played in numerous big band jobs for many years, played corperate shows, small bar bands,( blues, jazz, pop.). Played for Ringling Brothers, Barnum & Bailey when they still hired muscians to play when they came to Kansas City. Played for a vocal pop group, The Bloodstone for a number of years and traveled all over the U.S.A.
Experience Teaching:
Taught private lessons low brass instruments for two years: Department of continuing Education, University of Missouri at Kansas City/ Conservatory of Music,also at the same time for a private music school in Independence, Missouri, The Music Arts Institute.
