15 years of being a touring, studio, and house drummer across the country. Started formal drum training in Japan in Orchestra and percussion, and then moved to Pittsburgh, PA in the late 90’s to continue drumming development with Jazz, gospel, rock, and blues stylings. Currently in Houston, TX as a drummer and audio engineer.     David has been a fixture of the Pittsburgh music scene for over a decade. He has been a sought after studio musician, touring member, and collaborator for many groups and artists in the area since 2004. From performances at the Three Rivers Arts Festival to the Byham theater to local jazz clubs such as James Street, David has shown a diverse sound wherever he plays. Born in Fukuoka, Japan, he started his formal training at the Christian Academy in Japan where he learned percussion in an orchestral setting. Since his arrival in Pittsburgh in the late 90’s, he has gone on to tour nationally for a variety of acts while simultaneously being a mainstay drummer at Allegheny Center Alliance Church. In 2012 he joined forces with Tom Kurlander and has been playing with him ever since. Currently in Houston, TX, David continues to drum at Cy-Fair Christian Church while collaborating with local artists and engineering audio for Stage Directions production company.
