My name is Cameron and I've been playing guitar for 15 years (the last 4 years have been more intense in study). I've used jazz for the past year or so as a tool to advance my playing in a way I have never experienced before. In my opinion, jazz is pretty much an all encompassing genre that opens up so many doors for a player into other genres and an ability to view them with a keener eye.
Cameron D. has over 2 years of music experience in the Saint Petersburg area.
Cameron D. is proficient in and teaches Guitar Lessons, Bass Guitar Lessons .Formal Education:
I've been at SPC for the last 3 years work on prerequisites as well as getting a degree in audio production as well as lessons from a Sarasota based classical guitar player named Zachary Johnson.
Private Education:
I think my most fruitful private education was my time with Peter Mongaya Hogsholm who I've been saving up to continue learning under. He shed light on how chords are formulated and how you can, as a guitar player, use chord tones to highlight the movements with the given piece.
Performing Experience:
I've been performing in a musical capacity in school since 4th grade in percussion, but my guitar performance experience goes back about 3 years when I started a jazz fusion group by the name of The Adverse Elements with some college friends all the up until now as I'm playing with my group BFD in the local area doing covers, originals, or both depending on whats asked of me.
Experience Teaching:
I've volunteered teaching percussion at my elementary school North Shore Elementary under my old music teach er Glenda Mauger. I also had a very brief stint at Rock-it music school in Seminole. Brief because I didn't really agree with the mission statement that was being presented and I did not feel passionate with the work I was doing. (I can explain further if prompted to.)
