Born in 1952, I am a career musician whose parents were both successful professionals in music: my mother was an elementary school music teacher for 35 years and my father was a cellist for 44 years in both the Cleveland Orchestra and the N.Y. Philharmonic. I studied piano and trumpet from musicians in both orchestras and graduated from Manhattan School of Music in 1974 with a B.M. in trumpet. I subsequently joined a Las Vegas-style show band as writer/arranger/keyboardist and went on the road for 4 years. Then in 1989, I was employed by Walt Disney World as a keyboardist and writer, where I worked until 2001. I am currently a partner in an independent production company which specializes in special event music and multimedia production. I am married (25 years) and have 3 children, aged 16, 12 and 11 and 1 dog. They are all very involved with music, even the dog!
