I come from a less traditional background.... I started writing songs before I could play an instrument.  By 11 I started playing guitar, by 13 I had my first 4-track tape recorder and was recording my own original music with my first bands as well as other young local artists music.  I did have some traditional musical training playing in my schools concert and marching bands (playing trumpet and baritone) as well as singing in choir, theater and our barbershop quartet.   While that training did help inspire me and help train my ear, the majority of my musical education has been a product of MY OWN DESIRE to ehance and grow my skills.  With YouTube and other sources all the skills, technics and riffs you could ever want to learn are at your fingertips.  But for me, LEARNING THROUGH CREATING has always been what drives me.  Writing songs, recording, playing with a group, jamming.... these are the excercises that have helped me to expand my skills, inspire me and helped me to grow as an artist and performer. This 20+ years of experience has given me a wealth of knowledge to share.  From learning to read Tabs to knowing how to dial in your optical compressor I can help guide you on your musical journey.  I can help you with the basics of caring for your instruments and equiptment, playing your instrument, writing songs, recording teqniques, DAWs, synth design, drum programing, advanced effects (reverbs, delays, compressors...) mic teqniqes, sampling, audio editing, Midi.....    plus I can help by sharing my genuine passion for music and helping you find what inspires yours!
