I spend my musical time playing guitar, drums and bass, and listening to a wide range of artists in rock, blues, jazz and classical genres.  The music that is closest to my heart is guitar-based blues, in particular the sounds of such players as Peter Green and Lightnin' Hopkins, among many others.  I have lived here in Santa Cruz for the better part of the past three years, and I jam and perform and record with many friends locally, including my own band.  For me, music is about feeling first and foremost, with theory providing a helpful language in communicating your ideas to other musicians and understanding their ideas.
