About Me

I come from a diverse background in music. Growing up in a musical family, I have studied piano as a child for years before falling in love with jazz music and drums when I got older. In high school, I studied Jazz theory, played in Honors and All Catholic band while playing with different local artists in the Philadelphia area eventually branching out to the Atlantic City area. Since then, I have been exosed to a wide array of genres and playing styles such as Latin music, Reggae/Island, R&B, Funk, Rock, and more. I developed an interest in Audio Recording when I got to College while gigging and teaching privately on the side. Upon graduation was when I decided that my true passion was sharing and introducing music. I can teach just about any level, style or genre. I believe in focusing on the individuals talents while drawing out what inspires them musically and help them reach their full potential on drums. Some of the best teachers that I have ever had always focused on what I wanted to learn while presenting a new challenge. I always strive to make my curriculum fun and exciting for the student-I believe anyone can learn, and anyone can especially LEARN to learn! Music is fun!

B.A. in Communications and Recording Industry Studies

Private Education:

15+ years. Studied with Charles and Dolly Terry, Lee Morrison, Thomas DeShullo, and Joe DiVita.

Performing Experience:

I have performed with various cover bands and artists around the Philadelphia and New Jersey shore area in my career such as Danie Ocean, Nancy Malcun, Jonny Alba, and more. As of now and since, I am a studio and live drummer for hire, as well as run my own acoustic top 40 cover group.

Experience Teaching:

For the past four years, I have been teaching private students in my own studio or their house twice a week. I have had primarily experience with late beginners (adults and younger adults) as well as children beginning their instrument. I have had years of basic fundamental instruction with children as well. I have worked at a summer camp leading group musical activities as well as after-camp private lessons. Music is fun!
