Allyson is an active singer/songwriter, as well as a student at Texas Woman’s University where she will be graduating in May 2017 with a BS in Music Therapy. She started playing the piano and singing at a very young age and, over the years, picked up the guitar, flute, and ukulele. Allyson performed in choirs throughout elementary, middle, and high school, and joined the band in her sophomore year of high school to try a new experience. She taught herself the flute and, by the time she was a senior, she became the drum major and led her band to the state UIL competition. Allyson was a member and President of the Concert Choir at Texas Woman’s University where she had the opportunity to perform at the Lincoln Center in New York City and the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, Texas. Allyson is also a very avid songwriter and performer. She has recorded/released an EP of her music, as well as performed at many venues around the Dallas area including the House of Blues. She is very passionate about music and sharing this love with others. She teaches voice, guitar, and piano and believes that finding your style is imperative to making learning an enjoyable experience. She also teaches adapted lessons for students with disabilities.
