About Me
Hi! My name is Anand, I play guitar, bass, drums, and I sing. I have played gigs all over Tacoma and I consider myself to be very proficient at guitar and bass. I play a variety of genres including rock, blues, jazz, metal, and some classical. I want to make sure that I am able to get my students to reach their goals no matter how ambitious.

Formal Education:
Mira Costa High School graduate finished my 2nd year at the University of Puget Sound
Private Education:
I have taken lessons at a local guitar shop in santa monica. I currently take lessons with jazz saxaphone legend Tracy Knoop.
Performing Experience:
I have performed in venues around LA and the Tacoma area. I have played with a couple of bands and I also have performed with jazz combos in numerous restaurants around Tacoma. I performed pretty regularly with my jazz band back in High School. I have performed with the Univsity of Puget Sound jazz orchestra. I have played with Victor Wooten when he came to visit my college. I was the lead guitarist in the musical rent. I played guitar in the musical, the last 5 years. I have also played bass for a jazz combo when the bass player couldn't make it to the gig. I have also played drums for a band.
Experience Teaching:
The University of Puget Sound has a program called Kids 4 Music which has the students go to low income schools and teach the children music. Funding for the club goes toward buying instruments for the schools so they can start music programs there. I have regularly been a guitar teacher there.
