About Me
Zach is a saxophonist at the University of Northern Colorado. He completed his Bachelor of Music in May 2017, and will continue with a Graduate Performance Certificate in the fall. Zach's teachers include Paul Schneider, Nathaniel Berman, Mark Pipes, Andrew Dahlke, and Andrew Kropp. Zach is frequently requested to teach sectionals and masterclasses all around the Northern Colorado area. He instructs a high school saxophone section regularly at a local charter high school, and has been invited to teach at the annual Colorado Honor Band Association Summer Camp the past three years. Outside of teaching, Zach has been an active performer on campus and in the community. In Fall 2016, he won the Southard Music Competition with the Front Range Saxophone Quartet. He has performed with the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra as an ensemble member, and has performed at local venues as a soloist. At UNC, he has performed Urban Requiem by Michael Colgrass as a featured soloist, and as a soloist with the UNC Percussion Ensemble. Zach enjoys furthering his knowledge of saxophone literature and pedagogy as well as being an active performer.
