To Whom It May Concern. It is my great pleasure to recommend to you Sheila M as a teacher of voice. Sheila is a young professional soprano on the verge of a wonderful performing and teaching career. One of the classes in which she was my student was entitled Vocal Pedagogy, i.e. the student of teaching singing. Sheila blossomed in this class. She taught lessons in class, in front of her peers, submitted recordings, and led her colleagues in spirited, thoughtful conversation. She is universally liked by the student body and her professors. Her progress was so great this year that she has been tapped to lead the opera next season. Sheila has a wonderful personality for teaching. She is knowledgeable about the vocal apparatus, plays piano, is wickedly funny, yet empathetic, and has a passion for music that is infectious. She is reliable, while also being flexible. Daughter's First Guitar Lesson
My daughter's first guitar lesson has come and gone with Sheila M. To say she wishes her next lesson was tomorrow is an understatement. Sheila was on time, prepared, and jumped right in with my daughter. With my daughter being a total beginner to guitar, Sheila walked her through the parts of a guitar using age appropriate language and chunking of information. Her enthusiasm and love for music and teaching was apparent throughout and most certainly rubbed off on my daughter.
