My name is Jacob and I like to drum. I've been playing for nearly 20 years, and have been in too many bands to count on both hands!
Jacob Ew has over 9 years of music experience in the Minneapolis area.

Private Education:
I took private lessons on and off for 2 years with drum instructor Bill Apold, who I ended up working for as a drum instructor later. He taught me the basics of rock, jazz, fusion, Latin and any other drum styles in addition to writing drum notation.
Performing Experience:
I have had lots of performing experience in the several bands that I've played in. The genres which I've performed live include Rock, Jazz, Progressive Rock, Metal, Folk, Indie and Post-Rock. I've been exposed to more formal performance settings in auditoriums, churches and other venues.
Experience Teaching:
I have had over 2 years of music teaching experience teaching the trap kit to mostly younger kids at my local music store in Minnesota. I have also taught private lessons independently.
