I am a seasoned musician with a passion for teaching. I have been performing vocally since age 4 and on guitar since age 12. I have given lessons privately to adults and youth for 15 years on and off. I believe that my method of choosing among the student's favorite songs as a basis for instruction makes it more fun and engaging. Though well versed in music theory, I am open to teaching without getting into the "mathematics" of music if students are not interested in learning them.

Rachel Ha-DNU has over 20 years of music experience in the Edgewood area.
Rachel Ha-DNU is proficient in and teaches Guitar Lessons, Vocal Lessons .Formal Education:
Music lessons 4th grade through 12th. Some music theory classes at Goucher College.
Private Education:
I learned many styles of guitar playing from my father beginning at age 11.
Performing Experience:
Playing electric guitar with my father on stage at various local and regional clubs since age 12. Began performing as a solo acoustic artist at age seventeen in local clubs. Began playing lead guitar for a 3-piece band 7 years ago. The band went on to play local and regional clubs and festivals, recorded an all-original cd, and was included on the Go-Girls music compilation cd.
Experience Teaching:
Started giving lessons at age 13 to various peers. By age fifteen, the music teacher at school gave me an entire class period to teach jazz guitar to fellow students each day (I have not played jazz since high school; that's why I don't list it as something I could teach now!) I have given a few lessons to adults and youth here and there since high school.
