About Me

Chris is a multi-faceted, modern musician and engineer. He works daily in numerous commercial outlets including music instruction/performance, post production, film scoring, video games, foley, and record label A&R. At the age of 35, Chris has been a professional in the entertainment industry for 27 years. By age 8 he was working as a young actor in professional musical theater. By his teens he was teaching music, and throughout his 20's he has worked in film, video games, toured as a performer, and run his own record company. His unrelenting professionalism and pleasant disposition have earned him recognition from top peers and has placed him in high demand in numerous commercial fields. He has completed 3 audio credentials in Recording Arts, Computerized Audio, and Live Sound from the Mira Costa College Recording Arts program. He worked on the X-Box game, "Destroy All Humans 3" for THQ as one of two audio personnel. He composed and mixed original music for the documentary film, "The Rescuers" for Michael King Productions, and maintains a performance career which includes U.S. touring, daily studio production, and the maintenance of his record label, "Televisionary". Most recently, his online video tutorial series, "Produce Signature EDM Tracks" was released by Groove3 internationally. Chris is well versed in modern audio programs and considers himself a Logic Pro expert. In addition, he is comfortable working in all the major DAW's including, Pro Tools, Cubase, Ableton, Final Cut Pro, and many more. His well rounded ear can navigate the complexities of both acoustic and orchestral audio, as well as electronic techniques such as synthesis, sampling, post-production, and mixing/mastering. He is an accomplished musician with classical training and makes part of his living as an instructor both privately and at several academies and institutions. Between his skillful musicianship, compositional ability, audio engineering technique, and business savvy there is nothing audio related Chris Herrera cannot complete.
