My name is Kevin. I am 25 years old and  I am a  self-taught guitar player. I have been playing guitar since I am 13,  I am bilingual, can speak fluent english and  spanish, and can teach  in both languages if the oportunity arises.
 
I also play piano and  drums, and that helps me to see music  in the guitar from a  different perspective.
I can teach basic, intermediate, and advanced  levels.

My goal as a  guitar instructor is  to teach how to play the guitar  in two simple  phases.

-The  cognitive process, meaning the mind- oriented process, for example the  understanding of a chord, or a scale, since music is a language, I will teach my students how to speak it.

-and The motoric learning process, wich is the practical application, the actual playing and practicing of the theory learned.

These are the some of the sections i will teach at my student's will: introduction to guitar/ music,  note location,  basic  chord  construction,  major and minor  chords,  warm ups,    chord inversions, circle of fifths, chord  progressions, major scale, natural minor scale, intervals, pentatonic scales, harmonic minor scales, musical modes, 3 notes per string scales,  alternate picking, sweep picking,  legato, tapping, bending, string skipping, arpeggios and most important, improvisation.
