About Me

I am a recent high school graduate (3.0 GPA) from Stockdale High School, and have been playing drums for 8 years now. I have experience with every instrument in battery percussion. I marched for Drum Corps International for 2 years (2015 and 2016) where I played cymbals and got Percussion Rookie of the Year, and top bass drum the next year. I was a volunteer teacher for a local Junior High School during my senior year, and helped the students read music, play the parts, and learn how to communicate as a team. I always have family members and friends asking me to show them tips on many percussion instruments, so I thought I should start doing it professionally. I am kind, patient, courteous, while also being an exceptionally hard worker.

What to expect in my Drum Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

Students can expect learning how to read and understand music. If they are interested in matching battery/drums, I am the instructor for them. We will go at the pace of the student, and however much time they need to learn and execute new exercises well, that time will taken with no problem. A student can expect to do additional practice time outside of our lessons, to ensure growth and great playing abilities.

4 years with Stockdale High School Drumline (Bass, Cymbals, Tenors, and Snare drum) 2 summers with Golden Empire Drum & Bugle Corps (Cymbals and Bass drum)

Experience Teaching:

Volunteer at Fruitvale Junior High School 1 year, I taught the kids how to read and play music, I taught them technique, and how to perform as a team.
