I've played the drums for 36 years. When I was a kid, I used to play along to my sister's albums Led Zeppelin, Bad Company, Deep Purple, Boston, etc., but the real reason I started playing the drums is because of Neil Peart and Rush. When I heard them, I decided that drumming was what I wanted to do. I played the trumpet for 10 years, so I can read and understand music, but drums are my true passion. I have been in bands that played all over the Midwest, and I have played Rocklahoma in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. My influences are all over the place; Rush as I mentioned Steely Dan, Tool, old jazz, modern metal, old metal. I've played double bass for about the last 32 years, but I like some strong single bass rhythms, too. I taught for a year at Brook Fine Arts in Tulsa, and I would love to work with you.
