Cat began playing piano at the age of 7. Over the years, she developed her skills further by studying private instruction for 13 years and accompanying for 8 years in both her grade school and high school. She gained performance experience in the Seattle area by playing at venues like Nickerson Studios and First Free Methodist Church and with professors such as Dr. Myrna Capp, Dr. Danius Vaicekonis, and Prof. Zecharia Plavin. Though Cat can teach many different genres of music, her musical personal favorites are Romantic Classical and Neo-Classical genres which had great influence on her style of playing. Cat loves music because she has forged great friends from it and loves teaching music because she believes everyone has musical ability.
