Hi my name is Cory and I have been playing music since about age 10. I graduated with a music performance degree in guitar and enjoy teaching and playing many styles on multiple instruments. I love rock, blues, jazz, bluegrass, classical, and any mix of genres. I enjoy working with young kids and have had students as late as 73. I've taught students pursuing music degrees and active musicians who currently play in bands. Although I've played with bands throughout the Southeast, I now mostly play with bluegrass and jazz bands for corporate events and weddings in Atlanta. I enjoy teaching students who are interested in learning all types of music and give them instruction based on their abilities and interests.

Bass is the backbone of any ensemble and the most key instrument in rhythm and tempo. My students learn how to play with purpose and have fun with the improvisational nature of creating bass lines. Meeting every student at their level is the most important aspect of a successful lesson.

Beginner
You can expect to learn songs quickly and thoroughly. As we play through tunes, we will learn rhythmic theory and practice intricate drum parts as well as improvisation.
