Donald has always loved music from an early age. He began playing drums at the age of 3 and continued his education by going to college at Glendale Community College and learning the Audio Production side of the industry as well. His musical influences include Rock, Pop, Country, Funk and R'N'B drumming and production. Donald's favorite thing about music is playing, learning and having fun, and his favorite thing about teaching music is children learning and having fun playing, right along with me. One of his favorite teaching experiences was sharing the learning experience with my own kids. What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
Students can learn the basics, show me what they already know, and start to progress on their individual skills. We will go over different exercises, music theory, and basic skills to get started. I will also teach tempos, beat patterns, progressions and different sticking techniques as well. I want students to ask questions and I want to help develop their skills, no matter what skill level.
What to expect in my Record Engineer Produce
Beginner - Intermediate
I will teach students about studio basics, home recording and commercial studio set up, as well as go over the various digital audio workstations and various techniques to record and produce efficiently. I will teach students about EQ's, compression and using sound effects to give the desired results in their recordings. I encourage questions and I will help develop their skills.
