Shaun Chr.

My name is Shaun I am 21 years old. I am a student at Saddleback College (Mission Viejo,CA) and shall begin at California State University Long Beach during fall semester 2011 studying music education. I have been playing drums and percussion for eight years; in this time I have performed in music projects that have toured the westcoast and some midwest states and I also played snare drum in my highschool marching band. When I first began playing the drums I received lessons from an accomplished drummer but ended the lessons for I became an autodidact with most instruments and have continued learning and researching styles and methods of music theory on my own. I began teaching the basics of drum kit to a neighbor and he recommended me to a private studio in San Juan Capistrano where I learned to be patient and developed my own methods to helping a student understand and become creative on a drum kit. Recently I travelled to Israel to teach drums in english at a friends business, complications led to my return to the United States after 6 months teaching drums abroad.
