About Me

Hi, my name is Chadae and I am a student from Olympic College and transferring to Ohio State University to join its Music Department. I have been a student of music for 10 years. My musical influences include Opera and choral music and I also enjoy music history. In my lessons, you can expect to learn the basics of the voice and learn to sing in three languages: Italian, German and French. You will also be singing in English too. We will also get to know your vocal range and how to work with it. I like to tell my students to be confident in themselves and that it takes time and progress to develop a skill and that is what I am here for. My favorite thing about teaching is to watch my students grow and learn and expand on their instrument, and yes your voice is an instrument. I primarily teach voice, but I can also teach you about the history behind the music and the composer themselves. My approach as a teacher is to teach you the basics of classical voice and to enjoy the rich history and languages it has and how it too changed the world. Thanks for taking a look at my profile. What to expect in my Vocal Lessons

Beginner -

My syllabus consists of: education in proper use of the vocal cords; breathing and use of the diaphragm; vowel shaping for clarity of sound; and, warm up techniques to insure that the health of the voice is protected. Students will be also be introduced to the fundamentals of music and the beginnings of basic theory along with classical repertoire.
