Rory began playing drums at the age of nine. Over the years, he developed his skills further by attending Booker T. Washington HSPVA, and later the Frost School of Music at University of Miami. Grad. 2019 He gained performance experience in the Dallas and Miami areas by playing at such venues as the Prophet Bar, Le Chat Noir, and the Balcony Club, with acts such as Rowan Barcham, Sara Keden, Alex Brandenburg, and his own groups.

Though Rory can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are Jazz and Rock music which had great influence on his style of playing.Rory loves music because it gives him a way to express himself and loves teaching music because he wants to help others pursue their passion for music.
