About Me

I am a lifelong music-lover and guitar player versed in the tradition of Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, and R.L. Burnside. I offer an intuitive approach to teaching guitar, and ear training is the number-one priority. I teach by working on songs of the student's choosing-at the end of each lesson, tell me a song you'd like to learn, and next time I'll teach you! This way, each lesson is fresh and new, and you'll improve quickly as long as you put in the time, learning a whole bunch of great songs along the way.

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

Lesson plans will be determined by the student's individual interests and needs. If it's our first lesson together, I will ask basic questions meant to give me an idea of who you are/want to be as a musician, and then we'll get to work. At the end of each lesson, you can tell me a song you want to learn, and I'll have a lesson plan ready for you by our next lesson to assist you! This process will repeat so that you can continue practicing and learning new songs.

Formal Education:

I am a rising senior at Rhodes College in Memphis.

Performing Experience:

I have been performing for 13 years, both solo and with bands, in locations such as Gasworks Park and El Corazon in Seattle, and Ramsterdam in Kathmandu, Nepal.
