Hi, my name is Weldon, and I am a guitarist/producer from Austin. I have been a student of music for 20 years. My musical influences include jazz and classical, and I also enjoy metal and electronica. My teaching style can best be described as relaxed. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that the practice of music can be focused but relaxed, strict but fun. In my lessons, you can expect to learn proper technique and improvisational skills. I like to tell my students that there are no wrong notes. My favorite thing about teaching is bringing a powerful mental exercise filled with emotion and spirituality that one can take with them their whole lives. I primarily teach guitar, but I can also teach sight singing, beginner piano, and production audio engineering. My approach as a teacher is to meet the student where they are and help them build a skill set basedon their style, personality needs, and desires. Thanks for taking a look at my profile.
