About Me
My name is Hunter, I’m 23 years old, and I have been consistently involved in music since I was 11 years old. My start with music began with the Middle School band with the Alto Sax. I was able to pick up how to read music and rhythm quickly. Soon after I was invited to play in different musical organizations within my church and I continued to pursue music into high school with marching band. My personal music interest peaked with Guitar. I was always drawn to the Guitar from a young age. Starting with basic lessons from my neighbor when I was around 9 years old, I picked up various basic skills, but never had the patience to sit down and learn the craft until I was in High School. Like most players, my experience with the Guitar started with the Acoustic. Slowly, but surely, I retained the knowledge and muscle to play most basic chords. My relationship with Guitar peaked in the middle of High School when I started to transfer my skills over to the electric guitar. Ever since High School, I have been entranced by the guitar. Most days I dedicate at least an hour to this instrument, but some days I can dedicate up to 3 to 4 hours. I am no stranger to writing riffs and chord progressions on the Guitar, and when I can, I am always keen to play along with other musicians. My musical progress does not stop with Guitar. Recently I’ve picked up the Violin, and though I am just beginning, I am again falling in love with the process of learning an instrument. Learning music as a skill is hard, and Guitar in particular can be very intimidating due to the muscles required with the hand and wrist that slowly build to accommodate proficiency, but I love to see the results that come with dedication. I wish to provide this same joy and satisfaction to other audiences. I find passion in encouraging others to pursue a relationship with music. Music may be challenging, but the impact on your personal well-being is worth it.
