About Me

Hi, my name is Angel and I am a drummer from Newports News. I've had a love for music since I was a kid. I would do everything from write music to making my own beats on GarageBand. I never had the chance to take lessons of any kind, so I decided to teach myself in my adult years. I started in 2021 by teaching myself acoustic guitar and learning the basic chords. After a while I eventually started learning about classic rock and was instantly intrigued by the drums. I got my first e kit the same year and started learning the basics of drums and soon after it stuck with me. I’m currently in a band at the academy of rock music. I also enjoy writing music with other musicians in my free time. I don’t have much experience with giving lessons but I do know that teaching and seeing progress from others brings me joy, and that makes me a great fit for this job. I have a studio at my house with everything a beginner drum student might need, including books.
