About Me

Hi, my name is Lauren, and I am a Classical Singer from Utah. I have been a student of music for 12 years. I am currently studying opera at The Eastman School of Music in New York. My musical influences include Erin Morley, Anthony Griffey, Isaac Hurtado, The Metropolitan Opera, and countless other singers that I have had the pleasure of working with over the years. My teaching style can best be described as technical, singing with the student to help their understanding grow, as well as teaching basic music theory to help give more context to why the music is moving in a specific artistic direction. In my lessons, you can expect to learn the art and spirit of the operatic music style and how it comes from the heart. My favorite thing about teaching is the moment when a specific skill clicks with the student and they experience that personal victory.
