Music has been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve been playing the drum set for about 20 years and the acoustic guitar for 18 years, and these instruments have been a source of joy, creativity, and connection for me. I’m excited about the opportunity to share this passion with students of all ages and skill levels. For drums, I specialize in teaching simple beats and fills, helping students build a solid foundation while enjoying the rhythm and energy of the instrument. With guitar, I focus on teaching chords, strumming techniques, and reading tabs to help students confidently play songs they love. I believe music is about more than just technical skill—it's about expression and finding your unique sound. In addition to my teaching skills, I bring patience and encouragement to every lesson. I understand that every student learns at their own pace, and I’m committed to making music an enjoyable and rewarding journey for them. My experience performing in a high school rock band, playing in worship bands at church during high school and college, and singing solo at open mics has taught me the value of creativity and self-expression, which I strive to inspire in my students. Ultimately, my goal is to help students discover the joy of music and possibly ignite a lifelong passion for it, just as I have. I’m eager to work with students, whether they’re picking up an instrument for the first time or looking to develop their existing skills.
