Hello, My name is Ethan. I have been playing saxophone for 11 years now and guitar for 8. I have been giving private lessons for about a year now, and it has brought me more enjoyment than I can put into words. I love spreading my passion for music to others who have just started or have been playing for a while and just lost the drive to play. I believe that music and playing music can help us express ourselves in ways that words cannot.

What to expect in my Orchestral Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
You should expect a well rounded lesson. My goal as a lesson teacher is not to punish you for mistakes or make you play things that are simply unplayable for your experience level. My goal is to learn what you know and where you limits are and what your goals are, and give you that extra push to sometimes step out of your comfort zone and play things you didn’t think you could play before.
Formal Education:
I have played saxophone all throughout middle school and high school. I was the lead saxophonist in my schools jazz ensemble for 3 years in a row as well as a member of the college level band for classical music known as “Wind Ensemble ” Where I was a first alto saxophonist
Private Education:
I have taken private lessons myself throughout middle/high school from college professors and gigging musicians. I say this to not only speak firsthand to the wonders having a private instructor can do for your playing and practicing structure, but also that I know how to structure lesson plans that work for the student.
Performing Experience:
I have been apart of solo and enable bands for classical saxophone as well as big band jazz ensembles. I received 1s ( which is the best score you can get) in not only regionals for classical and jazz but also for solo and ensemble performances as well.
Experience Teaching:
while I have not had any in school teaching experience, I have had my own private lesson students for the past 2 years. They have ranged from middle school musicians to High school musicians in both classical and Jazz genres.
