Hi there! My name’s Matt. I’m born and raised in Tulsa, OK and I’ve been playing music since I was 12 years old. I started taking drum lessons at Roy and Candy's at the age of 12 and first picked up a guitar at age 15. I’ve been a part of numerous bands and recording projects and have played in over 500 live performances. I am an artist signed to SideOneDummy Records out of Los Angeles and am also signed to the Paladin Artists Agency out of New York. I’m a nationally touring musician with endorsements from Reverend Guitars, Ernie Ball and Shure Microphones. I’m the primary songwriter in my current band and I mainly specialize in rock, punk, indie, alternative, etc. I’ll admit that I’m not Steve Vai, my skill set has never been based around shredding solos or extremely proficient music theory — my forte is definitely songwriting. I can help students craft songs and build compositions that will give them the ability to start a band, solo project, or whatever they choose. The most important thing is having fun being creative and loving the music we’re learning and creating!
