Terrell has always loved music from an early age. He began playing piano at the age of five and continued his education by training at the Stax Music Academy and later studying at Berklee College of Music. His musical influences include gospel, classical, soul, and artists like Donny Hathaway, Nina Simone, and Stevie Wonder. Terrell’s favorite thing about music is its power to heal, uplift, and tell stories that words alone cannot express. His favorite thing about teaching music is helping students connect emotionally with their instrument and watching them grow in confidence. One of his favorite teaching experiences was guiding a student from basic chords to composing their own original song.
