Hello! My name is Bryson-Joeland. I started playing percussion/drums when I was in 7th grade. I have been in middle school band and high school band which I was section leader of Farrington High School Drum Line from my sophomore year until I graduated as a senior in 2015. I returned as the assistant band director as soon as I graduated to help continue teaching especially with a focus on drums and percussion. My motto has always been: If you’re willing to learn, then I’m willing to teach.

What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
Students should expect to learn the basics such as musical notation, different grips of the drum stick, different rhythm styles, and more. We will be practicing with a metronome. We will learn the different part of the drums. Students will also learn various techniques that are suitable for marching band, but can also be correlated to drum set. Rudiments will also be taught and expect to be tested on them. It is expected that you have drum sticks but I will always have extra and a metronome (the phone apps are fine) so you can practice on your own during your own time.
