About Me

Rose has had a love for music since she was little, starting piano lessons at the age of seven, then switching to violin lessons at ten, after begging her parents to let her. She decided to continue with her passion for music, and has received her Bachelor of Science in Music. Rose has taught violin for a little over three years at the St. Cloud Music Academy, having a wide variety of students from the ages of five to late adulthood. She focuses on building a positive learning environment by applying students interests and establishing goals. She understands that everyone has a different kind of love for music, and builds upon their specific style and expectation for themselves. Rose was classically trained in college, playing in the St. Cloud State University Orchestra for over three years, as well as the Long Prairie Community Chamber Orchestra. She has always had a passion for folk and Irish music, always turning to fiddle music between the lesson books growing up. She also has experience playing live with a rock band, as well as an alternative/indie duo, so she is very open to teaching different genres. Rose builds and maintains positive relationships with her students, as well as their parents to discuss progress and practice habits. She loves to hear her students' progress with their instruments, feel their love and appreciation for music grow, and watch the joy that playing music brings to their life.
