Hi, my name is Salamasina "Amy". Iʻm from Kapolei, Hawaiʻi and Iʻve been in Houston for about a week now. Iʻm 22 years old and kindʻve figuring out what to do with life. I grew up on the stage and in performing arts for years---Iʻve travelled for music and performing arts to New Zealand, Pasedena, Hawaiʻi Hilo, Kona, Maui, Molokaʻi, Kalaupapa, Kauaʻi and have had the oppoturtunity to teach music to many. My dad was a worship leader and he came to Hawaiʻi on a scholarship for jazz band. My first instrument was ukulele at the age of 6; then piano at 7--guitar and bass came naturally because of my understanding of music theory. I love working with kiddos because they bring joy, excitement and really help me practice patience and understanding. I love music! I actually just auditioned for American Idol this past week, haha. Iʻm just traveling until I really figure out what to do with life. My schedule is pretty flexible and Iʻll be in Houston for a while so I figured itʻd be good if I start trying to pay for my expenses and livelihood lol!
