Shane has always loved music from an early age. He began playing drums at the age of nine and continued his education both in School, as well as with the School of Rock chain. Shane is influenced by all sorts of musical styles, and while he started primarily as a rock drummer, he has broadened his horizons and has developed proficiency in Jazz, Funk, Reggae, Metal, and Latin Styles. Shane 's favorite thing about music is the creative side of it, as music helps people express themselves in a way that transcends language. His favorite thing about teaching music is watching his students develop the same passion that he did back when he was learning to drum. One of his favorite teaching experiences was watching his students play their first ever show, and seeing their hard work pay off firsthand.
