Hi! My name is Alzena, but you can call me Z. I've been teaching piano for over 10 years. I've taught hundreds of students of all ages and skill levels. I'm a passionate and patient teacher, and my mission is to put the "fun" in learning the fundamentals of the keyboard. I tailor my teaching to each individual student, selecting appropriate material and exercises based on that student's goals. I teach my students how to read music as well as how to play by ear, giving them a well-rounded approach to playing. We spend ample time discussing music theory and the rhythmic, melodic and harmonic tools that are essential to piano and any other instrument they may want to study in the future. I aim to instill a life-long connection to music for all my students. Music is the medicine!
