About Me

Hello, my name is Stephanie, I was born and raised here in Memphis, Tennessee and I would be so very interested in this position and I hope to hear you all soon. I have always had a very prevalent background in music, my family is involved in music in all types of ways my grandfather And his brothers had a quartz head group growing up, and Wichita, Kansas, my grandmother used to be a singer and her church choir and also on Beale Street, my and my uncles they all sing in their own type of way, I have a lot of different musicians in my family who play all types of instruments, including myself I grew up playing violin, Viola, guitar and a little bit of piano And then once I got to middle school, I mainly started focusing on singing, and that has been my main thing for a really long time. Growing up in a really musical family and having great mentors, it really inspired me to do the same thing so right now I am at The University of Memphis getting my bachelors and music education vocally and so this will be A great experience to have under my belt for when I do actually start teaching in the Classroom. I have such a long line of mentors that inspired me, soI’m wanting to do the sign for the next future generation.
