Hi, my name is Leslie, and I'm a vocalist from Houston, Texas. I have been studying music for 20 years. My musical influences include India Arie, Dolly Parton, Norah Jones, and I also enjoy Patti LuPone. My teaching style is relaxed and informative. My teaching philosophy is that "as long as a student is engaged and having fun, they are learning. In my lessons, you can expect to learn the basics of music theory, proper breathing techniques, and an introduction to vocal anatomy. I like to tell my students music is everywhere, look for it in the mundane. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing my students grasp a concept. My favorite performance was Jessie Reyez in a small venue in Nashville. My students love that I am goofy yet firm. I primarily teach voice, but I can also teach beginner piano.
