Hi, my name is Valerie and I am a guitarist and violinist from Shreveport, LA. I have been a student of music for sixteen years. My musical influences include Kurt Cobain, Ozzy osbourne, Layne Stayley and I also enjoy Halestorm, In this Moment, and Morgan Wallen. My teaching style can best be described as encouraging. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying when words fail, music speaks! In my lessons, you can expect to learn how to play your instrument to the best of your ability. I like to tell my students to practice as much as time allows. My favorite thing about teaching is when students are able to learn from me. My favorite performance was when I played guitar with previous colleagues from Downtown Wave and all of my friends and family came to watch the band. My students love that I always keep a positive attitude. I primarily teach guitar, but I can also teach violin. My approach as a teacher is to help other musicians further their journey as musicians.
